Every day we are closer to death. It is the truth we can’t deny. So, why are we afraid of our true and authentic self when we don’t know how many days of our lives are left for us to live?
Embracing the Route of Your Truth
Our rambling thoughts become the parts of our internal dialogues which fill the roles and scenarios of possible outcomes. Suddenly, a dark hand of fear snatches everyone of us who wears a comfortable and unbelievably fitting suit as if our whole being will fall apart at the seams and the spectators will raise a hue and cry against us. Some spectators can be our friends or family members who may leave and stop communicating with us. Yes, that is the one possibility and obviously not the pleasing one. However, if you start loving and accepting yourself completely and unconditionally, the outer world will change, too. This doesn’t mean that you will persuade other people to love and accept you, because the point is not in persuading at all.
As we live in vibrational universe, we vibrate at a unique frequency. Our emotions, thoughts and behaviours also vibrate at unique frequencies. The more true and authentic you are, the more corresponding frequencies you will attune to. The more true you are to yourself, the more you will know who loves and accepts you truly. Surround yourself with the people who love and accept you who you really are, support and help you in both good and bad times, share the amazing experiences, wisdom, with whom you can laugh, learn and grow together, find a mirroring connection of your beautiful souls.
A Source of Your Powerful Energy Is in Authenticity
How much of our lifetime do we spend in suppressing and killing our authentic self? The answer to that would be: tons of our precious time or to say it more precisely, tons of precious energy. We feel blocked at the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Our body suffers and ailments and illnesses become our following companions. Our soul is crying but we are so attuned to its sad melody that it only resonates with others who share the same one. There are no uplifting tunes, liveliness, joy, learning and exploring new things. We never ask ourselves how our lives would look like if we directed the energy to exploration and expression of our authenticity. Would we breathe freely? Would we dream and sleep differently? Would our perception of the world change? Certainly, a lot of questions would arise and here the direction of the energy doesn’t mean trying to be authentic but simply being authentic.
Start questioning your beliefs, experiences, lifestyle and what genuinely matters to you. You can sit in a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed and visualise the moments of your childhood e.g. when you had a dream but never realised it or what inspired you most at that particular period. You can make a list of your contemplations that are important to you by writing, recording yourself or expressing it in some other way. After that you can question by visualising your current life, what prevents you from living an authentic one and what steps you need to take in order to accomplish your goals. When you visualise the certain periods it is vital to you to know what you also feel at that moment. Let your feelings be the signs that shine your journey and show you the right course.
Awareness Is Who You Really Are
If you want to discover yourself, observe your breathing or space firstly. In modern world most of us experience the hustle and bustle everywhere. We don’t have time to pay attention to our inner world. This is the simple exercise called space-walking introduced by Dr. Frank Kinslow, an inventor of many powerful healing techniques for well-being and harmony. Sit in a comfortable position with open eyes and watch the space between the objects, lines or anything you find interesting. Pay attention to what you feel while you are watching the space instead of separate objects. By watching deeply the empty space you’ll cut out the constant circling of thoughts, be in the present moment, experience the awareness and joy of being rather than doing or thinking.
Being Vulnerable ̶ Expanding Your Realms
Brené Brown, a remarkable author of the book The Gifts of Imperfection showed the profound views of vulnerability, wholeheartedness, shame and she also stated, “authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are. Choosing authenticity means cultivating the courage to be imperfect, to set boundaries, and to allow ourselves to be vulnerable; exercising the compassion that comes from knowing that we are all made of strength and struggle; and nurturing the connection and sense of belonging that can only happen when we believe that we are enough.”
Some days will be filled with authenticity while the other will be without it. That’s OK. Setting up your priorities will help you a lot in reaching your authentic self. When you wake up in the morning define some daily exercises or routines that will boost your potential. Here’s the one practice you can use or expand according to your daily or long-term goals:
My authentic self is safe and open to explore new possibilities in this magnificent day,
My authentic self is lovable and worthy,
I’m grateful for being aware of my authentic self,
I’m grateful for exploring deeply my authentic self,
I’m grateful for all ups and downs I experience through my journey and I know that the universe sends them to me as gifts for my growth and integrity,
My authentic self makes mistakes and that’s OK,
My authentic self may disagree with other people’s opinion and beliefs and that’s OK,
Other people may disagree with the opinions and beliefs of my authentic self and that’s OK,
My authentic self is an essential part of a co-creation of oneness.
